Exactly! It's annoying being Punjabi and having someone explain fairness cream to you. I agree that being fair is something sought after in North India perhaps because of all the ethnic mixing that has occurred and we certainly have a wide spectrum of skin tones. I must emphasize that women in Punjab, provided they

Sommers is an anti-feminist, had to read her stuff in Sociology of Gender. Some women are misogynists too, unfortunately. Sure, gaming is more inclusive, but is it inclusive enough? How could feminists destroy masculine games? Women can't even get equal pay in 2014. It's not a reasonable fear. I argue that many men

I'm tired of this whole "I'm not a gamer" agenda. She could have easily said that because she was embarrassed to be in a professional or academic setting and talk about loving video games. I'm an avid gamer, but I probably wouldn't say in front of my professors or peers who I don't know well "yeah, I totally spent

Oh yeah, blame the victim, how original. I'm guessing you're of the "she was asking for it" persuasion?

Your points are valid about Sarkisian herself, but don't say some reductionist statement like "all feminists are trying to ruin games". That's like saying "all men are rapists". The truth: one woman who happens to identify as a feminist (trust me, we certainly don't all agree on the same things, except gender equality

I agree with you about the harassment being totally offensive, out of line, disgusting, and vicious. No one deserves that, especially someone who is using their right to free speech to express an opinion in an open forum. I also agree that her videos lack nuance. Her heart is in the right place, but often she takes a

I agree that he should be recognized for it, but he is Indian, so I think we grow up with POC as our earliest inspiration of what beauty is, and maybe that inspired this show.

We had a really bitchy, condescending female teacher for Biology. Apparently after I'd graduated, they discovered dildos and vibrators in her desk, so they moved her to an administrative position and she no longer taught students.

I'm hoping I'm not the only one who's interested in learning/watching/reading about women who kill (e.g., Deadly Women, Snapped, etc.). For me, there is more of a draw with these individuals, where in some cases their crimes are understandable or somewhat justifiable, and in others it's secondary to sociopathy.

It was all about Benson and Stabler for me, and their personal demons that came out in response to some of the cases.

I think the issue is that they didn't make Spiderwoman as muscular as Spiderman, so she is reminiscent of what models, pop stars, Kardashians, etc. look like instead of looking like a strong, capable superhero.

I used to subscribe because I was in a lighting class for photography, so I would routinely just look at the ads and rip them out for class to show which examples I liked.

I'm on team Joni Mitchell. I haven't wanted to defer since.

Oh fuckin' hell...it's such a moving, beautiful show. I didn't FEEL anything with regard to Rocky Horror, it's ridiculous for the sake of being ridiculous, while Hedwig is a journey you follow the protagonist through. And yes, the music is amazing and brilliant. And if you don't feel anything during "Wicked Little

I just want to say that all of these people are DAMN fine! :)

Some opinions are poorly thought through and not well formulated. Why do people get an education if not to ponder the subject and why it's so divisive before posting? Do you actually think it's reasonable for a man to comment on a woman's experience? Could he possibly understand? The OP didn't even consider both sides

You're an asshole and your opinion is unwanted. Don't you realize it's always women who are victimized in this fashion, and not men? If you had taken pictures for your significant other/fuck buddy (I'm assuming too much that you have a partner, I guess), would you feel comfortable and say "serves me right" if those

We have equality in the workplace.

Remember when they all had their boxers in a bunch over the illustrated nudes of Disney princes?
