i’m really interested in how certain designs become culturally significant. did an ancient designer to the royalty* of any country just show up and say “i think that this design is lovely on you!” and the royalty agreed?

which term? poc or “non-white”? regardless,i have no problem with a poc referring to themselves as “non-white” or anything else. i’m trying to get you to see that your use of “non-white” isn’t due to whatever poc you heard using it.

but have you talked directly to,instead of coming across, a poc who expressed disagreement with the ‘poc’ term? have they actually said directly to you that they prefer to be described as “non-white”? have you even read an article by a poc expressing satisfaction with “non-white” over ‘poc’?
