This is actually a really important question I'm surprised I had to scroll down this far

And I would hand it over in a glow of love for you.

Along the lines of...

Day-um! That eagle bird! Feathers flying everywhere...

MY PEOPLE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR OVER 100 YEARS YOU CAN WAIT FOR 15 MORE MINUTES!!

This is a barista race conversation that I would pay to watch.

Rock the eagle look

Seriously, the eagle/falcon/bird of prey is my new spirit guide when it comes to seductive stares. WISH ME LUCK!

Not to deviate too far off topic, but I am totally down to have long dreamy "Hey Sexuality Everyone" conversations with this one barista at the Starbucks by my work. Just saying.

Gotta love Enlightened White Progressives.

btw, not sure if that answered your question...but i was trying to speak to the demographic breakdown i saw in a variety of cities...

i am originally from memphis, tn, and most of the people who drink starbucks in the memphis area (despite it being a predominately black city) are whites who work in the city (but live in the burbs). in another close city, southaven, which is in MS (right past the TN border) is more racially mixed, but the customers

Like, first of all, the idea that white people can and should pat themselves on the back for stating their opinions about race, even though it's actually so much more important to listen than to talk? And, second of all, Howard Schultz's attempt to capitalize on an

Very good point! They also like to put them in places with thriving indie coffee places with the intention of pushing them out. Ugh Starbucks.

Yeah, don't talk to me.

The interesting thing about this that Starbucks is usually the first sign of gentrification, so discussing racial inequality WITHOUT acknowledging their very real role in that process is kinda tone-deaf.

It's great that all races can use the same bathroom, right?

I'm not talking with ANYONE about ANY DAMN THING until I get my goddamned coffee. And I'm DEFINITELY not talking with my Starbucks barista with anything other than "no whip" because I have shit to do.
