Its worth it to power through that middle section. The end gets great.

Actually although 99% of why I’m here is the story, I played the combat of the first games reluctantly, I do the combat in Like a Dragon because it’s fun. There, I said it!

Like a Dragon is a narrative masterpiece next to other tbs RPG games, the writing team really stepped it up there.

middle 1/3 of the game is an absolute disaster, and I would have contemplated walking too (or cheating) just to blow past it. If the team learned one thing from LaD’s development, I hope it’s to improve the pacing relative to our consumption of the story (which really is why we’re all here). 

Can we just acknowledge for a second that the developers made a 140-hour long joke about a haircut? incredible. 

She’s the absolute best. Hell, she basically is female Kirby: badass in a fight, adorable otherwise, and can eat her weight and then some.
