I’m enjoying the cooler weather, but then i remember it’s because my state is covered with smoke from an unprecedented fire season.  While hiding in my room with an air purifier I’ve been replaying Half-Life 2 tho, and that reminds me the skies could be worse!

I think cost of cartridges probably had a lot to do with it. Game code and assets can be somewhat reused, and development teams still gain experience when a game is cancelled.  Cartridges could be pretty expensive tho, and that’s a good place to cut losses if they thought a game wouldn’t do well.

I hope all the employees get snapped up by better companies. I’ve worked for enough startups to know how much damage one primadonna dev can do. It’s no fun.

I want them to show off shots of levels that won’t be in the final movie, never comment on them, and then leak a beta cut fifteen years later

This happened on one of my spare batteries about four years ago.  I have a high capacity one in my 3000 that’s still unexploded and functional thankfully.

The original Harvest Moon was for SNES. The GBA had Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town (boy lead) and More Friends of Mineral Town (girl lead). They were their own separate games and didn’t use the town or characters from the SNES version
