the white queer community woe-fully missing the point in intersectionality once again. If you think a black male, literral recent drug dealer, from north Atlanta knows the nuances of reclaimed language within the Queer community vs straight up derogatory speech (fag, dyke, homo..etc) .then I have a bridge to sale you.

as a black queer woman feminist, I could truly care less about these two men and mostly find them humorous - but the amount of hate and interest that you have for these two is kind of suspect. Didn’t you JUST write about this dude. Didn’t ya’ll spend that whole time saying Umar WASNT a doctor only to find out he was?

a few things:

It seems odd that Hip Hop artists with no rock background would WANT to be in the Rock Hall a Fame. Obviously , it’s nice to be recognized but the entitlement is a little....clownish.

my whole crew owe me some change. Been CALLED IT

this is the reason I’m not a Trump supporter but am kind of thrilled who won. It exposes that non of these politicians are on the side of their constituents and instead are bought and paid for.

I’m really over this tagline of “trying to understand racists”. What’s to understand? They believe in white supremacy - period.

Spike Lee makes my ass bleed. With the exception of Crooklyn ,he’s incapable of unproblematic female characters.

hahaha. Brilliant

Well...he knows how to have a good time.

life comes at you fast.

when you forget that your male privilege of calling women “females” doesn’t apply to the fair white woman with no consequence, so calling HER a “female” won’t be tolerated. Welcome to intersectionality , and the real world.

yeah. I’m a black woman..so ..the central point of the piece. Which you couldn’t handle. Catch you over on Xo Jane or whatever.

you thought your experience as a white woman (trans or otherwise) was applicable to a conversation about black male and female intraracial relationships? So much so that you’re talking about white lesbians and TERFs and have to be reminded that this a thread about black people? Nah, I aint buying it.

*claps* Way to center yourself white LGBTQIA members in a conversation meant to illuminate the specific narrative of the black male and female relationship and how black women get the short end of the stick INTraracially.

No but seriously, What makes a white person go to Esscene, or Vibe, or VSB, or The Root or Blavity and start talking about whatever they want to that HAS nothing to do with black people? I seriously want to know !

so are white LGBTQIA members centering themselves in this conversation about black people? Asking as a black Queer woman, bc this thread has nothing to do with the tyranny that black men have reigned over black woman which is, actually, what the article is about. IT’s a very specific narrative so why you wouldn’t be

when a black man says it it’s revolutionary ....whatever.

you mean •white• lesbians? BC no social conservatives are teaming up with black women (gay or otherwise, cis or otherwise)

thank you.
