Lucky you got yokohamas on a 3. Mine came with Bridgestone Ecopias. I replaced them at 30k when one got a hole in it. I hated them from day one. The car was given a new life when it got proper tires.

Ah thank you. I was trying to remember where I pulled that from. I recalled that some sort of poly screen on the front of an open wheel car was making drivers nauseous and such.
Didn’t this thing disorient and make drivers dizzy during testing?
That’s a new record in my household. Bought the wife a brand new CRV EX-L 3 weeks ago and it’s subject to the recall. That’s gonna be tough to beat.. 3 weeks from papers to recall.
Highway cruiser. Powerful, easy to work on (save for the dreaded opti-spark), plenty of kid room. Sir, you nailed it.
You have a warped sense of humor. You’ll get people all overheated about this topic.
The marketing would write itself if it were a Ducati dealership.
My 2015 is paid off next month.. Not sure I want to start things all over again. I like my ‘15 just fine. I don’t think 1500 bones and a higher interest rate than I paid of my ‘15 would sway me.

*sigh*
I wonder what Tariffs would do to the used car market. Would it boost prices as more folks would turn to buying used instead of paying the rip fee on a new import? If you do buy new, I wonder what the tariff does to depreciation and resale value. Technically the purchase price of the car is 25% more. Does that mean…
These were actually really common in CT. CT Limo, an airport shuttle service had a fleet of these to shuttle folks to the NYC airports.
Devil’s advocate... The type 1 that donated the chassis could have been in absolutely piss poor shape, and this replicar gave it a nice second chance at life.
The better question is how much were they charging for it.
I like where you are going with this.
I actually saw one of these things yesterday on my way home from work. I thought it was pretty cool. I was wondering if the listing was the one I saw last night until I noticed it was on the west coast. There can’t be many of these roaming around.
Well, if their longevity in New England is worth anything, I still see a fair amount of these running about. They would even satisfy your daily allowance of Iron Oxide.
It’s an MG.. It’ll blow smoke on it’s own after a while!
Kate, you are living the life I want. I’ve been dying to leave the Northeast behind and move to Montana or Boise, or Coer d’Alene or somewhere out west. Kudos for actually getting the courage to do it.
I have always wondered what a beetle and a smart car looked like smashed together. I shall wonder no longer.
