How I wish they’d either bring back the FJ or create a 2 door beefy 4 runner.

Damn it. No problems in 60k+ miles on my 2015 3 hatch. Fortunes have reversed! Good thing I take the bus to work most days.
Here we have just such a car—a 2009 Pontiac Solstice GNX targa coupe—and it rocks fewer miles in total than you probably drove on your way to work today.
Can confirm. 1984 Cavalier sedan in my family made it to 315k
A 1984 Cavalier still holds my family’s mileage record. 315k miles and it drove onto the flatbed when we donated it. It sat in a field for a year, the radio broke and we used a boombox powered by C batteries in the back seat, and for the last few years of its life we had to drive with the windoes down because the…
Objectively that may be true. Alas, as far as the results are concerned it has the highest finish.
There’s the old adage “To finish first you must first finish.” Pace and longevity are two different virtues. On that day, longevity proved to be the most important.
Yes. It does not have a high roof option. My comment was not about that. The roofline of the vehicle is tall compared to other vehicles, and thus the interior space vs footprint of the vehicle is high.
Most places allow you to test fit the seats. If a GTI and multiple kids are in your future, bring the GTI over to a babies r us on a test drive and have them help you test fit the seat. If I could do things over again, I would have done this. If the GTI is going to be your primary kid hauler, I wouldn’t buy it if the…
Well, it’s the only LMP1-H. There are still other LMP1's, just none are manufacturer backed. I would love it if one of them or Jackie Chan snuck up and snatched the overall win.
Am I a bad person for not wanting this vehicle to win? The 787b should stay as the only Japanese overall winner.
It was a top down directive. The lead engineer said “LETS MAKE THE ENTIRE LINEUP LUMPY AND SHINY”.
Part of that is that car seats are bigger these days, especially with the rear facing seats. My 3 hatchback is problematic with this. I have to jack the front passenger seat almost all the way forward with the rear facing infant seat, rendering it useless if I am transporting an adult with legs.
The ideal world would give the USA both the mondeo estate and the current generation 6 wagon. I would have purchased the latter over my 3 hatch 10 out of 10 times.
A surprising number of people. In the beginning, infants travel with a lot of stuff. And then when they start hitting 5-7 years old, they bring friends and subsequently more stuff.
It is deceptive. They are kinda Tardis vehicles. Bigger on the inside than the outside.
I don’t really need to tow that much. A small utility trailer and my John Deere is about the max I’d need. It still fits the bill so far.
If it hauls equipment for the Navy, would that make it a Tuk-Tuker Torpedo?
Pfff.. Forget baby boomers. I want this thing for ME. Big useful diesel box with a tall roofline that can haul ALL THE THINGS? I’m in.
Well then. I think we now have the answer to the question “What would happen if you mated a Tuk Tuk and a Garbage Truck.”
