Depends on the intended use. I’m not putting coilovers in a car I don’t intend to track. I generally keep my cars stock and I haven’t tracked anything since kids came into the picture. Stock vs stock, the NA feels more agile and composed on the road vs the NCs I have driven. The NC isn’t a bad car by any stretch, but

Depends on if you are counting a mellotron as a synth

A brown manual diesel miata shooting brake would break Jalopnik forever.

That’s a matter of preference. The s2k has more grunt and is a larger vehicle, but I could never get past them being way too tail happy, even with the AP2. Some people like that quality, but that wasn’t my cup of tea. This is also assuming that folks keep the stock setup, which many don’t. I generally don’t mod my

Don’t test drive one. I made that mistake. Multiple times. Don’t autocross one either. That’s especially bad. I’ve made that mistake too. Every time I drive by my local dealer, those sinister grinning little bastards call to me. The want is strong.

My feelings exactly.

Yes I have. I like owning copies of it though. If you have a spotify membership and download for offline, you technically don’t own the file.

Foxtrot is my favorite.... Partially because Watcher of the Skies is one of my favorite songs they ever produced. Phil was a badass drummer back in the day. Early Genesis was surprisingly complex and ahead of its time when it was released.

Focus on the Gabriel era Genesis.. It’s more proggy and less sappy Phil Collins.

Half of my music collection is Rush, Yes, King Crimson, Dream Theater, Emerson Lake and Palmer, and Genesis. I do prefer denim to most other varieties of pants, and I own a Miata, which was designed as a modern British roadster. I can exaggerate with the best of them and have 300 million twitter followers. I can honestly say as a result of this thread I know more about Fieros now than I did before. Some people would call that a successful day. I don’t know who those people are, but I’m sure there are some!!!

Fair enough. I suppose it can be as reliable as any vehicle provided the owner has the knowledge of the platform and the unique quirks that a non-traditional design can present. Like one of my favorites, the Ford Taurus SHO V6, it may not be the easiest vehicle to work on, but if you know what you are doing and the

About as well as all of my 2004 RX-8's. Thanks for asking!

It’s the country fried truck endorsed by a clown! Canyonerrrrrrooooooooooooo!

I knew the fires were mostly due to other mechanical issues (low oil levels etc) that poor maintenance didn’t help. I thought the location of the cooling system components and the densely packed engine bay caused other problems to surface.

If/when the Mazda CX-5 diesel hits dealer showrooms, I wonder if it will eat this vehicle’s lunch. I looked at a diesel Cruze, but was scared off by the FCA sourced power plant. I was excited for the diesel 6 that was promised, but ultimately that never came to fruition. The Mazda acheives similar if not greater

It is weirdly badass. With that said, someone more familiar with the Fiero platform than I might need to make a ruling on this one. Didn’t these have a myriad of cooling issues that a small block V8 might not exactly help?

Yeah, having my Miata at the ready would certainly help. The problem is I don’t want to get rid of my 2015 3 hatch to get a van. I love my 3 hatch too much.

Wow..... That hits a little too close to home.. Torch has my number on that one. Especially because I’m currently trying to find an older country squire wagon for my fleet. I can’t decide if I want to go late 60's full barge, or slightly more modern with the late 80's injected 302 v8 models.

The things you hate usually do stick around longer than you want them to for the sole purpose of prolonged torture. See: Cockroaches, Parrots, Highlanders, that smoke belching rusty Mercedes 240d at the end of your block that always seems to get the parking space you like before you can.
