I’d still take one.. And then slap a giant plow on it. I could do my entire 3200 square foot driveway in just a few passes... And then the rest of the neighborhood... And then the local airstrip...

****PEDANTIC ALERT**** 2008 would have been pre-FCA Chrysler. Fiat didn’t get involved until 2009 after the Chapter 11 filing.

Hmm.. 40k and 1k horsepower.. Seems like a good ratio.. NP

I can’t even imagine the amount of property tax being paid by the owner of that Pagani with CT plates, especially if they live in the Southeastern corner of the state. That yearly bill is probably more than the collective value of all my cars. Say the mill rate is 20 at that end of the state. Assuming an assessed

So I’m not the only one that noticed the alternator and said “What are YOU doing over there?”

DAMN IT MAN! I’M TRYING TO SAVE AN INNOCENT LIFE!

If I go up a weight class I’m probably gonna need to pop the trunklid to allow for more space.

My 20 year old Mazda without a spot of rust in New England begs to differ.

This wouldn’t be too bad. I’d say that’s not a terrible option. I’ll keep it in mind.

That’s supremely weird.

Well that and it is Japan only for now... So I’ll worry about cost when it becomes an option. Until then, I’m not going to lose sleep over it

No doubt.. I’m confident I could probably find one at a pull yard for next to nothing. Only trouble with that one is finding out if it works before you get it home.

I’d have to procure an original first. When I bought the car 10 years ago, the alpine swap had already occured, as the OEM died.

I don’t think OEM paint is a thing.. But if they are doing factory restores, the chances of it being as close to factory spec as possible are far better than just getting a paint code and going to a shop that sells PPG. This is especially true if yours has a unique color that’s tough to hit dead on.

Yup.. Park it in the sun and the mismatch is 100% clear. You either have to spray the entire car or live with it being off. Thankfully I haven’t had to do any paint work on mine.

If I could get an OEM look double din with bluetooth and such, I’d gladly pay top dollar for that tomorrow.

Montego is tough to get right too. I’ve seen some awful paint matching with those.. Either they go too blue or too green.

You’d think they would. There are just as many, if not more rotorheads out there. The devout following is just as strong with the pistonless Mazdas.

If only they were doing this in the USA.. I’d send mine out for a bit of refreshing. It’s in good shape at 75k miles and 21 years old, but I wouldn’t mind a fresh coat of factory paint (limited run color, IMPOSSIBLE to get right), a bit of leather work, and a good once over from some folks in the know.

No engine swaps allowed. Bone stock only :D
