I’m glad this guy is getting properly roasted on the internet. That asswagon is lucky he and several other motorists aren’t in body bags because of this stunt.

And then they gave it Zebra Stripe seats, because 90's car, and you needed your upholstery to match your Zubaz.

Holy crap. A 600 HP Flex.. I knew I needed an ecoboost Flex in my life, but that need just intensified.

Could be the Funkmaster Flex Squared

I think the Funkmaster missed the really obvious marketing opportunity and chose the wrong Ford.

The days before smartphones were interesting. I had just purchased my (new to me) Miata, and I was ready to set out on my first road trip in it. Destination? A big car meet several hours away in the remote stretches of Massachusetts. I was all set. Top down, sunscreen on, and my new Alpine head unit freshly installed.

This might be the best intro to a NPOCP you’ve ever had, Rob.

25k? He’s selling this car... Right?

You mean you don’t have your car’s weight and horsepower figures readily available for interested readers under the hood? Sir, you jest.

The writing is on the wall for that one. I don’t believe Joest would have signed with Mazda if they didn’t think they could run at LeMans in the next few years.

You probably have to put up with more shit with the horse though.

I’ve read 350.. 200 base models and 150 for the higher trim.

Buick bills itself as the first level of premium brands in the GM lineup, deserving or not. The only brand slotted above them is Cadillac. Their other recent vehicles (the Enclave, due for a redesign not included) seem to be a bit better appointed than the Cascada. There also isn’t another luxury-esque convertible in

Personally, I like the commander knob system that Mazda has. It is in the perfect spot and I can do whatever I please with the controls without taking my focus off of the road. It seems my preference is neither, but given the absolute choice between the two, my vote would be touch screen. GM does plenty right. This

Do you? I admitted I missed that several times in this conversation thread. Regardless, the point I was attempting to make was that I expected more from a premium offering.

They apparently are. I suppose I expected more out of a “premium” offering than analog knobs and loads of buttons. There are cheaper cars that have more elegantly designed systems instead of a bunch of black buttons clumsily laid out.

OK great. I’m wrong. Life moves on. So you’d be perfectly happy paying 37k for that button party center stack instead of a cleaner design found even on 19k hatchbacks? That’s really what I’m getting at here.

That’s auto speed for the fan and re-circulation, not the climate control in general. It’s still an analog system with a knob control as opposed to a digital system that most premium vehicles have.

I’ll gladly sacrifice the pregnant roller skate sedan if we get the next generation. I’ll even pretend I really like it so that it seems like a bigger sacrifice. This country needs more Fiesta ST’s.

What bothers me is that a 30k+ “premium” car doesn’t have auto climate control, and a center stack that has ALL THE BUTTONS. This example has a list price of 37k.
