You don’t need to be an M.D. to see that Yolanda almost certainly does not have lyme. If I had to hazard a guess, I’d say it’s depression (which can absolutely manifest as physical symptoms) being exacerbated by menopause. It also seems like she’s being taken advantage of by a lot of people selling snake oil cures.

Chronic lyme is the best disease to fake if you’re both attention-seeking and incredibly lazy.

I know some people don’t like Andrew Sullivan but he had a thread of posts, written by his readers, about late term abortion called “It’s so Personal” and it was eye-opening, to him and others who had never thought of abortion in other than black and white…

Quick reminder that most of the abortions performed after 20 weeks aren’t for women who changed their mind about having a child - it’s more often for women whose pregnancy is life-threatening or the fetus has severe abnormalities.
