Many of the second or third generation latinos I know in Chicago seem to disavow their heritage. This is more on the upper northwest side, but they try to validate themselves to their white friends by dogging on more recent immigrants. It’s extremely sad, to be honest.

There is no room for a third or fourth track. That would require widening the tunnels, widening the elevated tracks, and moving the expressway. That’s not going to happen. When they were building it, maybe, but not now.
