Nah, apart from the titles, it's a completely different thing from The Eric Andre Show.

"But he’d prefer it to be weekly,"
And who the hell is the Simpsons equivalent of Brian? Surely not Santa's Little Helper.
Her?
Power lifter?
Power converter?
"there will always be something good"
I wrecked my voice singing it at karaoke a few weeks ago. It was awesome.
I'm thinking the opposite. It's too good for Comedy Central, and more problematic for the network, can't be easily defined- it's not a sketch show, it's not a talk show, it's not a prank show, but it's not not those things. I posted something about this when there was news about the pilot, but I imagine CC would have…
As a big fan, I'm a little relieved. I can't help but think CC would do their best to de-weird-ify this show. If it's going to be somewhere on cable someday, I see it fitting in much better on Adult Swim or maybe IFC, or maybe some really obscure channel you've never heard of.
It's a hard lesson, but you've gotta hit that refresh button before posting.
Sounds like they sort of met before the trial…
I'd say it's much better than you're describing it, but it's still properly rated. It's a generic mediocrity good for an occasional chuckle (especially when Patton Oswalt is talking or when Bryan Cranston makes an appearance) or for leaving on in the background while you clean.
"with the network passing on How I Met Your Dad"
…starring Mads Mikkelsen as Klaus Meine.
"Randy chewed on a piece of lamprey pie, grease dribbling down his chin. He washed it down with a cool Coors 16 ouncer."
"For a good BUICK call…"
You're fun.
NBC- they're bureaucrats, Morty! I don't respect them!
There were lots of people complaining about those episodes in the comments here. As a matter of fact, there's someone complaining about them right now, and that person's name is you!
I could see Dan Harmon being totally into that idea.
