Right off the bat, rule #1: Have two named female characters

I think the vast, vast majority of "MRA" don't believe anything they say- they're just professional trolls who have realized it's one of the best ways to get a whole lot of people angry.

Yes, I said this elsewhere in this mess of comments, and mention it anytime someone brings up the "Mako Mori test": every part of her character arc is defined by the men in her life.

If you don't think it's at all funny, congrats, you're in agreement with pretty much every single person who saw it when it came out. But a lot of people do think it's funny, and as someone who's seen a sold out midnight screening of it, the idea that all those people are simply "doing it wrong" is insulting and,

That's the best and brightest response you can come up with? One degree removed from "I know you are but what am I?" I'm sure this is something you hear on a nearly daily basis, but you, sir, are a grade A moron.

I don't know shit about Harry Potter. You just weren't very good at explaining yourself in the first post. You can look a ton of movies up here:

I'd be fine with that. Slanted and Enchanted Vs. Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain?

So many movies are like that because, ideally at least, each movie is different, telling a different story in a different way for a different purpose.

"I work in marketing"

If you mean one woman lecturing a class that happens to have at least one or two girls in it, that's an awfully dubious "pass." In fact, if that is the case, it's not a pass, since it's a lecture, not a conversation.

VAGUE POTENTIAL SPOILERS FOR THE REMAINDER OF GAME OF THRONES There was an interesting discussion on here a few weeks ago about how the more "masculine" female characters (Brienne, Arya) are widely loved but people are indifferent toward or generally don't like the "feminine" female characters, Sansa especially. Sansa

Hey, that really hurt my feelings. I'm a great arguer!

It had the exact same reception Starship Troopers did- complete critical and financial failure, then growing a passionate cult following years later that sees it as a campy, sardonic black comedy. I don't see how it missed the mark; it was just made for a very particular audience (people that like campy black

That's great. I think that's the real issue- not that so many films don't pass the Bechdel test, but that so many that don't have no good reason not to.

(mic drop)

You're adorable.

"No, it's not ironic. It is bad."

your right

I've been coming to this site for 10 years and have yet to read a single word of any article! It was awkward in the days before there was a commenting system.

I can answer! No one is scared of debating you. They ignore you because not a single thing you post is interesting or worth discussing.
