I don’t know about you but when I first saw Mario on the NES I didn’t think “well this is definitely a guy without nipples because I can’t see them.” I’m not sure why people would expect him to be a nippleless freak.

I guess I can kind of understand where the author is coming from, but I’d never perceived Mario in that light, ever. I mean, when I was a kid, I used to roleplay Mario in the schoolyard. I wanted to BE Mario, throw fireballs, fly in the sky and rescue the princess. Seeing him described as a babbling-man-baby-cute…

IMO it would have been grosser to see him with no nipples. That’s just weird.
