Just stop regressing to childhood memories of the show. In all honesty, the last few season of the old show were not that great. Everything was chopped, mix and rehashed from past segments. So screaming Top Gear was original every time around is like saying the Sex Panther lotion works 60% of the time, every time.

The episode was far better than the first. Sure it’s not yet in the level of old Top Gear, but it was watchable. You know what made Top Gear watchable? Skipping the re hashed Britain/America challenge. Other than that, it was a decent come back. Though its tough to swallow Evans even talking to the audience since he doesn’t seem and sound loose at all.
