What can I say, it’s fun to troll fascists.

Oh, I’m well aware. I’ve done this song and dance with him before. I just find it entertaining watching his arguments gradually devolve into complete nonsense.

Dude, really, I admire your patience. But every argument pessimism made is obviously made in bad faith an indicates that they’re either trolling or like spreading toxicity, since the only thing they do is twisting everything to the point of illogicality while disregarding facts and commonly accepted notions. I don’t

22 million copies sold is a success. The overall positive reviews are just icing on the cake.

I’m not using my standards. I’m using the standards of the critics and consumers who thought the game was good (i.e. 8/10 or higher).

The data is the reviews,* which call the game repetitive with dull combat.

I guess you must not enjoy much of anything if that’s the case. Fortnite and Call of Duty have way more cultural relevance than TotK. Does that make them better games?

Surely you realize that all entertainment is disposable? Most people don’t even finish games, let alone replay them. Most people don’t rewatch movies or TV shows. The vast majority of single-player games aren’t talked about a month after release regardless of quality.

Re-reading Kotaku’s review of the game- outlining how terrible it supposedly is, and the long debates around it in the comments section is hilarious in light of the fact that the game is actually well liked and apparently a lot of fun- is pretty hilarious these days. Kotaku’s obsession with messaging over actually

The people who will run in with attempts at “told you so”s will ignore two major elements:

1) Even if it was the best thing ever, Microsoft did such an ATROCIOUS job explaining/marketing it, it never would have mattered. The case study of just how you could botch a console launch from every conceivable angle is

I see we are to the point now where it’s time to try to rewrite the history of the Xbone and make excuses for why it, once again, was a failure. At this point Microsoft has given up completely on even trying to learn from and correct any past mistakes, they’re not even trying at all anymore to attract new customers

You don't understand opinions, do you?

lmao the controversy is p silly yeah, that’s the internet for you i guess

I can’t help but feel this is the dumbest story I’ve read about all week.

Does it have to go anywhere?  Does every property have to have every ounce of blood squeezed from it?  That’s a stupid question, of course it does.

Maybe? But I feel like they set themselves up for it. Microsoft literally described Starfield as one of the most important RPGs ever made, and then it barely even made the list of nominees. I think if they’re going to oversell it like that it’s fair to call them out.

Starfield honestly lacked the charm of skyrim or fallout. I think it was mainly an issue in how you traveled. It was all insta-teleport which removed most of the exploration wonder that it could have been.

I’m tired of excusing bad parenting when the easy answer is take the computer away. Set ground rules, if the child disobeys, follow up with consequences. No addictive advertising can survive a nonexistent computer. No computer means no playing, means responsible parenting.

The entertainment district though was ooof fire!

Thank you.  I kept waiting for it to be lower and it never appeared.  I couldnt stand that game.  It was horrifically boring storywise and I couldn’t give two shits about the characters.
