This seems a bit formal and drawn out for my taste, but then again all the books clubs I’ve been a part of have been casual and among friends. When I’ve had to step back from commitments, I’ve generally framed it like this:

If you want help identifying the birds visiting your feeder, I highly recommend the free app Merlin Bird ID - available for both Team Android and Apple. Very easy to use and thousands of birds in their data base (pics, songs, general info). I use it all the time to id birds on golf courses.
Birds are pretty and interesting to watch—and if you’re lazy, you don’t even need to leave the house to see them.…
This is such a human response. Sometimes people forget that jobs have a “balancing” aspect, and that outside forces or necessities can demand a change in course, leaning away from niche interests to a broader scope. As someone who never comments on anything, I wanted to tip my hat to your response Mr. Murphy - well…
My favorite part of Win10 is how much its default configuration looks like the hospital screen in idiocracy.
Welcome to adulthood, Hudson!
Spot on. And, for me, that side effect is the most problematic. Melatonin has helped me fall asleep, but it leaves me feeling really groggy most of the next day. The negatives of that side effect (again, for me) outweigh any benefits.
I also get really vivid dreams (some are weird, but never scary -- e.g., I had a platypus with a human baby head that would go around my house pooping black cubes that perpetually spun on a corner), but only when I first start using it. After a week they go away. It’s almost recreational, so I always enjoy it whenever…
I literally came down to the comments to see what other people said about their melatonin dreams. That’s some crazy, fucked up dreamscape I dive into with melatonin. For me it’s a guarantee - I often find myself deciding between shitty sleep or fucked up dreams.
I get pretty bad insomnia a few times a year and melatonin helps a lot to break the cycle and let me get a bit of sleep while my brain does whatever it does when I hit these places. I’ve found the best way for me is to take it every night about an hour before bed for two weeks, then stop for a week or so, then, if I’m…
Looks like Ol’ Gil just got asked to give a graduation speech!
You know what I like about AllRecipe - it gives you the recipe. I don’t have to scroll for 3 days past a novella about how the recipe changed your families life, made you the hero of every social function ever, and retroactively won World War I. Just give me the bloody recipe (or give it first, then write your magnum…
I will say that since discovering it, I have been irrationally invested in Trader Joe's cultured, salted butter from Brittany.
That’s their secret, they’re always mad...
I had no idea Land O’ Lakes was a Farmer owned co-op, I just kind of assumed they were part of a dairy megacorp and avoided them. I’ll still take Tillamook products first because they’re a local (region) association, but that’s good to know that they’re a not-shitty alternative
I always go back to A Moveable Feast. I suppose I can relate to many aspects of his life in that period ha ha haaa.
So do Santiago and Manolin in Old Man and the Sea.
Vietnam sez why not.
I saw that tour in '03 and got to see him sing Rockville as well. Very cool.
