Actually, that’s a very common condition. It’s called, OHGODWHATTHEFUCKHOLYSHITGETTHATAWAYFROMMEDONTGETITONYOUMOTHERFUCK-itis.

Elway: FINALLY! Only two more years and he’s all MINE!

Long before I actually created an account on here, when I just read Deadspin occasionally, I almost always got funny looks for laughing out loud in the office. When that would happen, it was almost always something Rick wrote. (Once, it may have been you, Will, but my memory is suspect-that was probably Rick as well.)

Dude, you KNOW you’re “Ben”.

Goddamit! I feel like I was THIS close to making the list!

“percosetted out the wazoo.”

All of this is good and right.  I’m glad you’re here to expose the skidmarks of our teams again Drew.  Seriously.

Lions:  Hold my beer...

This is the only sensible thing to do.

Gosh, who does THAT sound like?

What do you mean, “bizarre enough to be dating Elon Musk”? Dude is a billionaire CEO of the best electric car company ever, a space company, a giant hole-digging company, a solar power company, and a friggin’ mind control company, amde his own flame thrower and launched a car into freakin’ SPACE, and that’s just the

I can’t imagine this disgusting pig and his asshole rich friends did all of this without pictures and video. These fucks document their conquests, it’s in their nature.

This is a superior take. I would watch the hell out of this show. More interesting, and far more challenging from a storytelling perspective.

It’s not censorship, it’s good taste.

Not really. It’s hard to label stories where the most shameful period in our history as a nation is drawn out and celebrated as “interesting”. Even if every single story focused on how shameful slavery is/was, the simple idea focusing on a world that failed to extinguish slavery strikes me as an alt-right fanfic show,

If you want to go Turtledove, go with the WORLDWAR series.  The height of WWII and suddenly Earth is invaded by aliens.  Humand have to set aside their differences and work together to repel the common threat.  Now THAT would be a great HBO series.

Two things:

It is complete bullshit that it took nearly 30 responses for the conversation to degenerate to this level. I am disappointed, to say the yeast.
