Goopy Paltrow? Probably. Angelina Jolie, who had prophylactic surgery and whose kids are photographed eating McDonald's and Cheetos ("But think of the GMO's and the hormones in the food" or something like that) ? I doubt it.

the episodes I saw had them disagreeing all the time - about the house/farm/kids. sad if they go their separate ways, but they didn't seem happy. the mom seemed quite down to earth but the dad was a bit of a nutter with all his big ideas.

With all of Angelina's work for the UN and her taking the kids with her, I respectfully disagree that she's anti-vaccine. But I guess I'd have to ask her to know.

With Angelina's exposure to third world countries that have been devastated by the diseases that vaccines prevent, I have no doubt she vaccinates. Plus, with her preventative mastectomy gene testing thing, she showed that she is a believer in modern medicine.

If you've ever watched an episode of 'Little People, Big World', you'd see that this couple hated each other and only kept it together for the reality show money and the kids.

Really?

Jezebel, really, really, really needs to stop with all the pseudoscience.

She's incredibly talented, but belief in Scientology and awesomeness are mutually exclusive, IMO.

About 50% of pregnancies in the country are unplanned (including my first, btw). That is higher among poor women who, in NYC tend not to live in Manhattan.

oh lord, the outer boroughs? "said with love" does not get you a pass for this. ("no offense, but you're fat and ugly"? does that ever work?) you think ladies in the outer boroughs (read: poor and brown) are having babies because they don't know about birth control? uhhh, yow.

Be...cause this is something that is disproportionately affecting black and Hispanic women and that's an important detail...?

When I am assertive, I'm a bitch. When a man is assertive, he's a boss. He bossed up! No negative connotation behind "bossed up." But lots of negative connotation behind "being a bitch."

Wasn't the previous oldest woman French?

it's not. as multiple articles and studies have pointed out, even if you're not at risk, should an unforeseeable complication arise, it will take you longer to get to a hospital.

Yes, all the research points to a tear healing better than a cut, statistically speaking. If your OB practices up-to-date evidence-based medicine, they won't do routine cutting. A lot of what you hear homebirth advocates talking about is like 1970's-era obstetric care. And yes, some OBs are still living in the 70s

yes i do. and as a study pointed out about a week ago (and featured here on jez), when it comes to giving birth in the US, it's still more dangerous to do it at home than in a hospital.

So basically, the same women who "take control" of their childrens' healthcare by refusing modern medicine, particularly vaccines.

I am sorry that you felt that this incredibly diverse group of winners at this awards show was so boring and elitists. I guess that acknowledging that Asian, Latino’s and African Americans were represented AND winners who were called up on the stage is too much of a bother for you and not entertaining for you at all…

this. i think for people who don't need sex as often, they view it as simply a physical need that can be relieved by masturbation, and their need for intimacy can be met in other ways. but for us horny ones, it's not just about a physical need, sex is also an expression of intimacy and love and sorry, but cuddling

Can I give the one of the worsts instead? (I'm a hater.)
