There was the time my parents came to visit and Mom came to the door first while Dad was parking the car. Mom looked me up and down, leaned in and hissed in my ear, “Honey, go put on a bra before your Dad gets here.” I WAS wearing a bra. I still don’t know WTF that was about.

This is happening on a public roadway, not private land.

Aubrey Lindley is a he. His store is fantastic.

Where’s the nastiness? In your own head?

    Oh, please.

Look into the work of Katharina Dalton or Ray Peat.

There used to be an all-female punk band in Seattle called Dickless. Dickish is just too close.

The person taking her photo appears to be Tricia Donegan. She's a good teacher. GaGa gets the private lessons.

Fungus needs a certain pH to grow. Supposedly, urine changes the pH and can slow or stop the growth of foot fungus. Don't know if anybody's ever done a real study of this.

I worked as a server in Montana, and SI people used to tell this joke: How do you get your dick sucked in Montana? Just dip it in ranch.

    Dodo bird? Cripes. You're wonderful.

Lots of yoga studios and fitness centers, gyms, etc. have free intros, community classes, or cheap trial memberships. I think it's good to try all kinds of yoga classes if you needn't invest much. Take classes until you find a style and/or teacher and/or facility/studio that works for you, makes sense to you, makes

I live in NE Pdx, and actually taught at that studio for a little while. The owners of that studio are totally batshit. They have a hard time keeping good teachers on their staff because they treat their staff badly. They were giant suck-ups to Bikram, but now they are dis-affiliating. they are always trying to blame

Bikram actually tells people—his yoga students and people training to be teachers that he is nobody's guru and that "you should be your own guru."

I'm not really convinced that Bikram himself is " popular." He teaches a form of yoga that is really popular because it makes people feel good.

You know what? One of my first Bikram Yoga classes, the teacher said, "The mirror is there for you to see your alignment, not for judgement." Bikram himself actually says that the mirror is there so that you look at yourself and fall in love with yourself.

Speaking of woman-hating, what's your problem with "menopausal" women?

Bikram never ever calls himself spiritual. Also, he is pushing 70, so his little bit of belly fat is probably a healthy thing at this point in life. He is a jerk, and possibly a rapist, but he can't be criticized for trying to be anyone's spiritual leader— that's not his trip. His yoga is hatha yoga, physical yoga.

Yes, it's traditional hatha yoga, and probably taught in a way more similar to truly traditional yoga.
