I think they should make it with a bespoke engine, not a platform share thing.  A high-revving 2.0T would be awesome.  A CTR engine with 300HP...not so much.

Or just put a 5psi stage 1 kit on it.  While it’s a “mod” it’s a good one, as these cars are very well sorted for this kind of boost.

Or just put a different transmission on it.

A few years ago, I threw a CR suspension into my AP1.  Worthy upgrade, and doesn’t have any aftermarket-ness to it.
