I don’t know that I fully agree -- Roger’s blocking was not super impressive. The ensemble characters were all playing multiple parts. You could have had an ensemble character shadow him. I mean people don’t just get hurt. They also get sick, lose their voices or have emergencies. Throwing all in on the fact that

Rent is basically a bunch of artsy 20-somethings channeling Lillian from Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, but instead of comedy, it's earnest and completely serious and it's exceedingly baffling.

“He will fail.”

Even though Ed did “give up the codes to save her” the fact that the codes that Ed gave up were not even the “real codes” but just something to spit out heaps of pseduo data that would lead to busy work until they could be rescued or escape was a good touch.

I totally enjoyed last night’s episode, I would love to see Teleya return and Ed and her form a permanent relationship. It will.be interesting now that new Discovery and Orville episodes will be released and broadcasted the same night now.

Loved it. Subtle acting by McManus under all that latex. She was better as a Krill than as a human, frankly, but I guess that makes sense in retrospect.

I take the show as a warning more than a good vs evil morality play. That if we inflict cruelty in our creations we will have that cruelty reflected back upon us

That was a great bookend to a wonderful, wonderful show.

I have to say it is of greatest compliment that the show both wrapped up the story and left me wanting more. It felt equal measure satisfying and gut wrenching. I just felt my whole stomach drop when I realized Oleg was going to lose so very much. And Stan lost

I don’t think I could have asked for a more perfect ending of this series. These last few episodes really seemed to be doing everything Rebels every did well exceptionally and all the awful things sparingly.

So I’m extremely happy now. Zeb and Kallus are basically married, Kanan and Hera made a sweet love Force Baby, Force Wolves & Force Whales are fucking awesome, REX WAS AT ENDOR, Ahsoka clearly fought a Balrog at some point during the OT, Thrawn is still alive, that horrid little goblin thing died, I cried some hard

Am I the only one who felt deep awe at the potential this leaves off with?

Alison Bechdel’s gender is irrelevant here, I think. To me, Heather means that by simply mentioning a test that is about how much women talk about men, you are actually talking about men. So you fail.

Same, Ilana. Same.

 YES. Another Difficult People fan!

This episode reminds of the sentiment that Abbi and Ilana expressed while doing a promo for the AV club about surviving/thriving in a post Tr*mp world. That you can fight back by being kind, creative, supportive, and taking care of yourself and those around you. And now I’ll also add this episode’s themes: celebrating

Abbi Jacobson directed this episode. Congratulations to her!

“Yawn”? We’re leading right up into the era where this is directly relevant. Of course it’s the Death Star. If that’s boring, well, you might as well get off the ride now and save your energy. ;)

Some observations:

It was weird to see Saw “Victory At All Costs” Gerrera use stun shots on those two Stormtroopers. Like, it actually took me out of the moment. Why would Saw ever set his blaster to stun? Except maybe for cases like Ezra and Sabine.

While I’m a bit sad that you won’t review all the episodes - complaining about bad ones has been a big part of talking about this show in the past, at least for me (even though it has improved a lot) - reviewing just the essential episodes is a fine policy. I’m just glad the AVC isn’t dropping all coverage of Rebels.
