It’s all very impressive imo considering where Shyamalan’s career was post Airbender.

Think pieces every Christmas about how terrible it is and how terrible you are for liking it is punishment enough.

The best actors really embody their characters and Trump has done that.

I don’t think they are getting paid, I think they probably have some data showing Davidson stories have high engagement online re: entertainment news, likely due to his prior relationship with Ariana Grande.  It’s not like the avclub is the only site spamming Davidson updates.

Yeah I see them as very competently made commercial product.  Like a great dishwasher or something.

The end credits revealed that they cut out a lot too, the film was a complete mess.

He’s a good actor with a very narrow range

The market for original films is minuscule now. The end result is either direct to streaming services or a trial by fire at a film festival to hope a distributer picks you up.
