Isn’t any film that is in Cannes Palme D’Or nominated?

The thing is, 90% of hollywood movies are blockbusters/animated films these days, they need to nominate something.

All these negative reviews seem like retroactive guilt over praising The Big Short, which was also glib and superficial.

That was when they had Jim Downey on staff and that was 20 years ago.

Her character is so poorly written I don’t blame her for it but I find her performance to be weak.  They are going for sociopathic but it just doesn’t ring true.

I can’t recall a single joke at Obama’s expense. Not a single one, if any it was “he’s just too cool and sophisticated” or “he’s not liberal enough.”

This site does as well, it’s a good way to get #engagement.

I swear a lot of these things are already on Hulu.

I wish I owned some moderately popular IP to cash in on the streaming wars.

This guy again?

I’d watch a movie where Kanye West and JP Morgan save the world

Yeah I see what’s going on as basically two things:

The most interesting part of that story is the desperation of the agent.  What a gross industry.

Hollywood, society’s moral compass.

Just turn off auto play

Or maybe, things have never been better and we just think society’s on the verge of collapse due to the information age’s ability to amplify grievances / bad news / chaos.

Where’s the data? There’s only 350 films, it’s not hard to output all the data underlying the numbers, especially when you admit it leads to results like Star Wars TFA and TLJ being considered male lead which is a questionable conclusion at best.

As a TLJ hater I must say:  how dare you imply I’m a fan of Zach Snyder!
