@MellieOleson proposed that pretty thoroughly.

Akimbo, I'm assuming you watch the show too? So you know Cole and Allison had a child before? Death doesn't erase the child away from the parents memory. The child doesn't need to be alive for the bond to remain. Cole will always be tied to Allison and his first child, the memory, the idea, the desire, the hurt etc

uh huh!!! > >

TRUE! I'd like a Luisa POV really soon! There's no one else that can give us a POV of Luisa apart from Joanie lol.

Because of her natural disposition and character. She seems naturally stiff and hostile. If you go back to the episode she met Allison for the first time, she couldn't even bring it upon herself to be civil without giving off a tense vibe and distaste for Allison. It says a lot about her. I've come to a conclusion

I think it's just poorly done casting for the character. In this episode, I kept wondering why Joanie looks like she could pass for Mexican or a latina of some sort, yet her parents are clearly not.

What I said can be understood in a couple of ways. Besides that.. I don't think Cole ever really got over Allison. Their connection is too deep. I think everyone on the show is just looking for peace… but if Luisa carries on like this…. well….. let's see init!

After reading all the comments here, it's rather interesting to see many people labelling one or more of the characters as a bad person or this or that. I don't think anyone on this show is good or bad. This show is life, a lot of what happens in the real world. No one is perfect. Life isn't black and white. Almost

I think they may show us the night she left Joanie with Cole and told him she's his daughter, I feel it's important to show us. Fingers crossed.

Ah ok lol! I have no clue of their anyone's real names. Thanks.

True. They really just needed long term therapy to move on from the death of their child. Their love/connection never ever died.

Since the c word is used here in drakehatesyolo's comment, I wonder why it hasn't been deleted. Gwen???

No need to deeply apologise to AV CLUB Elci, you were simply commenting/responding to me about the subject of topic. And like you said, it's just a tv character, so I don't see why so much offense is being taken. The entire comment I made was normal, but the admin seems to have been offended by the c word I used about

Exactly, she is the cause of the tense atmosphere. To the point Cole is back to kissing Allison. The tenseness is so unattractive.

I can blame her. There's this saying "start how you want to finish" - Truth is, previously married/divorced men with kids will always be tied to their first/previous family. It's for Luisa/the woman to know whether she can handle that fact. It's not a competition, like Cole said…. it never will be and doesn't need to

Oh spare us, it's not THAT serious. *eye roll* So many other words being called here yet you left those.

Why was my main comment deleted/removed AV CLUB? There was hardly anything inapp or spoiling about it.

She is so naturally awful! Apart from when she's with/around Cole, I'm yet to see her be generally pleasant.

I'm hoping for that!

Em sorry…. who is Josh? Who is Ruth? I'm not aware of these characters in the show.
