White fear of the Other, coupled with fear of losing White Supremacy.

I think, years from now, BLM will be recognized as a large part of Trump’s rise. In the sense of how much terror it stoked in the hearts of suburban whites.
She was 12,000 votes short in Michigan and 28,300 votes short in Wisconsin. Oakland County (Detroit) was down sharply from 2012 even though Michigan statewide voter turnout was up. With 52% of the vote in Detroit, if there had been another 25,000 votes cast in Detroit, Hillary would have won Michigan.
Is it really that hard to not click on something you don’t care for / want to see? I’ve literally never clicked on a baseball article on this site. And there were those “Cardinals lost” articles almost every day!
But the worst thing is that Mitch McConnell is happy.
Really? Because 46% of the country just sat there and took it on Election Night. And every Republican in Congress sat there and took it too.
I get that you’re trying to lead me away from the original question by changing the topic from the one where you don’t understand what the protests are about and the narrative that Trump is trying to create. It’s a good tactic but I’m not biting.
“This may be just me but if I was going to be president, I might want to hang around in D.C. during the transition to acquaint myself with the infrastructure that I would be working within. Especially if I had no political experience.”
It’s sad that this is what you think it’s about. Keep chugging that narrative though. To better assist you though? I’ll explain. These protests are about putting Trump on notice. Saying: Okay you won, but bigotry and hatred is not okay and “We the people” won’t stand for it. “We the people” will be watching…
Trump issued numerous campaign declarations that he would roll back Constitutional protections.
The GOP controls both houses of Congress and 30 state legislatures.
What sort of pansy ass nancy boy of a President have we elected if he’s going to cry about a few thousand protesters being “unfair”?
I actually think this, too (not that President Pence is any consolation). Trump has never really worked a day in his life, and now he’s stepping into the most labor-intensive job on the planet. It takes a toll on someone who is both intelligent and physically fit. He has admitted that he doesn’t read. The president…
Say what you will, his dismantling of the Constitution will be quick and efficient. He managed to attack freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, and freedom of the press all inside of 140 characters.
I think he’s going to quit like Sarah Palin did. He will absolutely hate being President. We don’t deserve this, but maybe he does.
Mike Pence is the worst, the only way he is better than Trump is that he maybe wouldn’t start a nuclear war because someone insulted his hair. But on reproductive rights Pence is far scarier than Trump.
Disagree. His tweets need to be posted on billboards next to major highways so that Trump voters are reminded daily on the way to work and back just what they have fucking done.
“Although I’m sure his replacement would be almost as bad so it’s cold comfort at best.”
My brother works with third graders in a very poor school where most of the students are black or hispanic. Today a couple of the black children told him they were scared Trump was going to send them to Africa.
my wife and i have been together for ten years (lesbian high school sweet hearts!) but we’ve only been married for about ten days. i’m so afraid of what’s to come, of what will happen to us now. in hindsight, i see how utterly naive i was to think that maybe we might be a little safer than we were a few years ago.
