Even in Savannah we’re following his campaign closely. We’ve organized a ton of progressives here, and Ossoff’s victory would be huge for morale.

That’s definitely not true. We aren’t a swing state yet, but we have several blue counties and demographics say we’ll be swing or outright blue in just a few years. And it will happen faster the better we do at actually freaking voting.

I think it would be huge! Mostly because so many progressive-identifying Georgians would stfu with that “Georgia is deep red, my vote doesn’t count, it’ll never change” attitude that goes against all logic would disappear for good. I have hope!

For what it’s worth, I go to DeKalb county for work, and folks are pretty excited about Ossoff.

Pointless story time, I just found out last night that my grandfather (who lives in this district) went out of his way to call the Georgia Democratic Party to tell them their candidate’s ‘diaper needed changing’. He was very proud of himself for it.
