I think this is a big generational divide too. For instance, Aimee’s stance here is that she’d happily take part in some of the crowd funding aspects, while lots of folks still say it’s super tacky. I think crowdfunding is more acceptable for younger folks (but still controversial), where it’s still scandalous to all

I second the handmade suggestion, as that’s what I do. I have a go-to Aran Throw pattern that takes maybe $20 of yarn tops. Of course, I’m usually very very late in finishing and getting the gift to them, but it’s always been appreciated.

Yes!!!!

The Yellow Ranger was my favorite too, with a big part of it because she didn’t have a skirt on her uniform. I also loved that she practiced martial arts (specifically kung fu), while the Pink Ranger was a gymnast. I took karate and I always wore my Power Rangers t-shirt as my uniform.

I’m 31 and I don’t remember watching the original run of The Cosby Show, but I remember regularly watching Fresh Prince. And I remember sobbing at the series finale when I was in middle school!

Don’t worry - he’s not a cop, so there’s a chance of conviction.

I totally agree with this, and I’m a white millennial and progressive as hell. I will never do a #notallwhitewomen, because that’s bullshit. Sorkin was quick to remind everyone that Lena Dunham and Jordan Peele exist.

Yes!!!!!!! I loved Richard Ayoade’s episode!

Sir Terry Wogan!

“Last Resort” came out when I was a depressed and suicidal teen. I had to change the radio station every time it came on or I’d burst into tears.

I thank you profusely for this explanation! This is my first job in the US in about a decade that has benefits (I buggered off to the UK for 7 1/2 years). I’m glad to see my employer-provided insurance would still cover my crazy preexisting conditions.

This first battle has been successful. Now to continue fighting the war.

Single payer would be ideal, but I’ll take the pragmatic win of not losing Obamacare.

An IUD is never a waste! I got mine a bit over a year ago when I had to make a hasty exit from the UK. I love mine, and *TMI warning* I haven’t had a period in years now. It’s been lovely!

I’m hoping we can keep up this level of disappointment and anger among people for the next 17 months so we can harness it for 2018 midterm elections!
