If there’s traffic in the right lane, and you’re going faster than they are, you’re not disobeying the keep right law. You’re allowed to keep left when you’re overtaking slower traffic or when you’re positioning yourself for a left turn or exit.

And if you want to be 10% more efficient, switch out two of those quarters for a half dollar. (And wonder why the rest of the country is apparently too dumb to use a rather convenient denomination of coinage).

Here in Maine, show up about 31 minutes before closing time. Any other time of day, they spend so much time standing around doing nothing that the line moves as slow as molasses. But when quitting time is coming, and they all want to go home, it’s unreal just how fast they can make that line move!
