I thought the CGI Tarkin was decent, but I thought they should have just cast Charles Dance.

On a side note, even if it was just for the part of “the other woman”, it’s good to see Maria Thayer back on TV, as she spent months in 2019-2020 dealing with cancer and made a full recovery. She made a couple of announcements on Instagram but kept this mostly private.

Or Cronenberg’s A History Of Violence, though I guess that’s different enough (Odenkirk’s character isn’t hiding a dark past, as far as I can tell from the review) to warrant the lack of mention.

In fairness to the Simpsons...the AV Club doesn’t really cover ANYTHING, anymore.

The only Q that matters

The Tweet that started this is a good example. It does nothing to address the substance of the claims. It boils down to “these racism allegations are bad because they probably make Prince Philip sad” paired with an ad hominem attack on his grandson, but that’s a red herring that says nothing about the truth value of

Gosh, this is a genuine crime. Kills my arcade-loving heart to see such a fabulous machine so thoroughly ruined, and all for no reason but ignorance and general neglect.

Honestly the best thing Lucasfilm did in the 90's were the LucasArts adventure games. Games like Loom, Sam & Max Hit the Road, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, or Day of the Tentacle are just pure goofy fun. And while they game mechanics may not always be perfect they were well polished and better thought out

The first time I really noticed how great he is, was in ‘The Station Agent’, an understated gem of a movie. I must’ve seen him in ‘Safe Men’ and ‘Human Nature’ before that, but he hadn’t really caught my eye yet. (And let’s just pretend ‘Tiptoes’ never happened, shall we.)

I could swear I heard a story about him getting pissed about people making eye contact.

It’s worth mentioning that they did this way back in November, they just only said she was no longer affiliated with them because she couldn’t stop being an asshole.

I was all set to criticize the idea that the concept is overdone, but according to
