David off the chain is terrifying, especially since he thinks all this will be undone, so he has zero empathy or morality. Combine that with his ablilites and he kills everyone.

The sequence involving Kerry, Clark, and Farouk was nothing less than an approximation of a comic book, right down to Farouk’s stating that it was the time between time, much like the way comic book panels stretch and manipulate time to create the illusion of motion/time passing/action.

While I feel like the big “moment” at the end of Season 2 was woefully/willfully misinterpreted by a lot of people (a lot of whom seemed to read about it first and then simply view the episode so as to confirm what they’d already decided) I’d rather focus on something else you said there (and, please, don’t read this

This review reads like you think the show owes you an apology for last season and is trying to make amends.  It doesn’t and it isn’t.

I mentioned before how, when bingeing a series, AVClub writers miss obvious points and nuances in episodes. Amongst the many, the 3 biggest ones for me are:
1. Smartphones (and digital assistants) can be used to covertly listen to you- there’s evidence of this happening now in the real world.
2. Social Media operators

Yes this episode was cheesy, but I think it was done on purpose. Just finished watching it, and at first I thought it was cliche with a cartoon villain, but I think that’s the point. It was structured just like a Disney movie. Ashley=Hannah Montana?

I’m still hoping they’ll do an episode where the man has no face or something.

Paul Reubens was the Buffy representative...

I mean, this is still better than whatever POS the BSG ending was.

The original Twilight Zone wasn’t as big on social commentary as people tend to remember. Sure, when it DID have a social or political point to make, it was very clear about spelling out exactly what it was, but that only applies to a handful of episodes.

Seriously, the entire population is full of goddamn babies. I really wish all these dipshits would put their energy into something constructive. The world is burning around us both literally and metaphorically and all anyone cares about is that their head canon comes true.

WAHHHHHHHH MY BEDTIME STORY WAS NOT TO MY LIKING WAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

WAHHHHHH I COULD WRITE A BETTER ONE

I WON’T

BUT HEAR ME OUT: I COULD

Oh God, fuck this. I have my misgivings about it too, but I am so done with entitled dipshit fans like these.

The fact that Ben Shapiro considers Andrew Neil, the right-wing chairman of pro-Brexit rag “The Spectator” a “leftist” shows how far-right American conservatism has gone.

The original show was challenging. You assumed during most of some episodes that you were on the right side, and then the writing turned the table and made you realize you still had prejudices and flaws. Anybody could watch it and be inspired in some way.

White guys were dead serious about karate in the 80's, and the show continues that universe as if it still exists. This largely ended in the real world when early UFC karate guys would just get demolished, but its something that existed and was real. Characters like Master Ken are a direct parody of this phenomenon.
