Dude’s amazing, watch “A Somewhat Simple Man”.
You really have to hunt him down. He’s probably doing the same to you this very moment, you know. Beat him to the punch and find him a nice unmarked grave.
... it turns out IT’S MAN!
RIP Mayrbek, poor guy didn’t deserve it.
It can’t be 30 years, you’re mathing wrong, for sure.
Haha I love that clip. I’m really not in the mood for another Batman, but best of luck to the chap.
Yeah, except that HR is one of the kindest people ever, spending most of his time travelling around talking with regular people all over, while this human trashcan spews his nonsense.
Agreed. Checked out on episode 4 but kept reading these to see if it picked up, but alas... I wasn’t even paying for the episodes and somehow was still ending up feeling robbed.
I just watched it and coulnd’t disagree more with this review. I found it as good as the first season. Every angle was expanded, the Kreese-Johnny conflict was well played, both leads continue to have great rapport in their scenes together, the kids were pretty great. I hope it comes back for another season!
Besides this character arc, they did mention in the episode his lack of game a couple times, “game” being certain social skills specifically related to dating/romance/dealing with the other sex.
Sila was really good (wishing to see her in more things for sure), and Yeun is always fun to watch, as is Kinnear for the most part. Otherwise I honestly didn’t get it. They needed the sheriff to lead them to the airforce thing... why exactly? The little “Needful Things” act, teleporting inside the cell, opening…
Hence why I mentioned there were “some episodes that specifically told you what to think”? But you can’t honestly point to something like “The Monsters Are Due On Maple Street”, and not come out thinking like it respects you intelectually? You can make your own interpretation, depending on where you stand…
I mean, it wasn’t “terrible”, but hamfisted and heavy-handed. Sure, some of the original run had that had that “here’s what you should think” on the nose message but it was delivered more gracefully. The magic appliance was pretty derivative, as well. It was fine, I wouldn’t call this one a classic, not by a long shot.
Well, eighteen is still a “teen-ager”, is it not? :P
And it will be, for ever and ever. It’s all the rage with the kids, I hear!
I love “Walking Distance” so much. I can’t really explain why. What a fantastic episode.
This one right here:
Any other site that does reviews? I keep coming here out of habit, its TV section is pretty barren.
Been sitting out on this one, after the terrific S1 it seems like it’s not worth to go back to. What a damn shame, they had something amazing and ruined it.
