Besides this character arc, they did mention in the episode his lack of game a couple times, “game” being certain social skills specifically related to dating/romance/dealing with the other sex.

Sila was really good (wishing to see her in more things for sure), and Yeun is always fun to watch, as is Kinnear for the most part. Otherwise I honestly didn’t get it. They needed the sheriff to lead them to the airforce thing... why exactly? The little “Needful Things” act, teleporting inside the cell, opening…
Hence why I mentioned there were “some episodes that specifically told you what to think”? But you can’t honestly point to something like “The Monsters Are Due On Maple Street”, and not come out thinking like it respects you intelectually? You can make your own interpretation, depending on where you stand…
I mean, it wasn’t “terrible”, but hamfisted and heavy-handed. Sure, some of the original run had that had that “here’s what you should think” on the nose message but it was delivered more gracefully. The magic appliance was pretty derivative, as well. It was fine, I wouldn’t call this one a classic, not by a long shot.
Well, eighteen is still a “teen-ager”, is it not? :P
And it will be, for ever and ever. It’s all the rage with the kids, I hear!
I love “Walking Distance” so much. I can’t really explain why. What a fantastic episode.
This one right here:
Any other site that does reviews? I keep coming here out of habit, its TV section is pretty barren.
Been sitting out on this one, after the terrific S1 it seems like it’s not worth to go back to. What a damn shame, they had something amazing and ruined it.
No idea what this is, but you had me at Brendan Fraser.
Makes me mad that this guy’s so ridiculously attractive, dammit.
Ted Danson and Michael McKean together. I need to lie down.
What a pleasant, happy read that was.
So glad this is getting a S2. Here’s hoping Captain comes back.
Good to hear, really enjoyed this one. Both leads are great and no show bringing in Bruce Campbell can really go wrong IMO.
Eh, I found this really boring. First one is the best so far.
Well, TheAvClubIsDead, I wont lie to you.
Jesus Rob McElhenney got ripped. I read someone speculating he’s on TRT.
I liked it. And I love Judy Greer so, so much. So much. Like, genuine love, not fake-ass “love” you say when you kinda enjoyed something. Oh well.
