The absolute worst was in the Agatha Christie episode (already terrible) when he suggests that people still read her work 3000 years on or whatever.

B- works for me too, I didn't hate it as much as everyone else seems to but that was because it took me years to start watching NuWho and I was so delirious about the fact that Rose was, you know, good and not desecrating my childhood that I think I forgave a lot of transgressions in S1.

Yeah I want to spend the rest of my life with 8 and I'm a heterosexual (if non-practicing) man.

Oh man am I happy to hear that there is new Mitchell and Webb Sound… last time my family was all together we listened to the box set of the original series' and pretty much laughed our arses off from Wellington to the Coromandel. The only real dud sketch on that whole collection was the Sopranos spoof.

Not trying to start an argument here, genuinely interested: what do you like about Tony Abbott?

To be fair, it doesn't 'happen to share the plot of a 10 year old movie'; it's a remake.

Episode: A
Season: A-

Wasn't Griffin the rabidly bro-shoplifting MBMBAM? From memory Travis was the one who used to work at Best Buy and wasn't keen on the whole thing.

everyone shout the Doctor's name and he got better

Oh man, I had such low expectations for 'Vincent and the Doctor' given my antipathy towards both Richard Curtis and the previous episodes where the Doctor met a historical figure* but my goodness that was a terrific episode of television.

I don't know if he'll ever reply, but you did an amazing job replying to him rationally without letting your emotions get in the way like some of us did [tugs collar].

I may be an asshole but, I'm not wrong.

You’re absolutely right: it is 100% a woman’s fault when she is raped, due to the clothes she is wearing/the alcohol she has drunk/the way she spoke to someone/the way she chose to walk home. Men are just helpless, simple creatures who can’t help themselves whenever they see a glimpse of skin/a woman who has had a few

I don't know, I see that as being pretty much the only thing he does for her in the film as being what a friend would do, whereas every other act is that of a prick who seems to think that being nice to a girl makes her obligated to have sex with him.

Liked for the soundtrack but, seriously, fuck Duckie… he's a proto-'Nice Guy' who you know would spend his time these days on Reddit bitching about the girl who 'friend-zoned' him.

The downvote came from Jim Treacher

Oh man, I'm so glad I didn't have to scroll down the page far to get to this quote. For such a subtle show, it does have two amazing shouted lines (the other being, of course, "PIZZA HOUSE!!!")

As well as the reasons already mentioned, she also wrote a novelty song about rape.

Your lack of understanding of the Amanda Palmer issue is pretty funny from someone with a nom de net like that.

I'm so glad you got here so early, as soon as I saw the headline I thought "We've found @avclub-b750f74544cb00c138079607276995e9:disqus's happy place."
