The Nicky Wire/James Dean Bradfield songs on her indie album were pretty good though.

Cracker is excellent, I've been watching it for the first time this year - just finished the ones with Robbie Carlyle. Pretty intense and extremely good for what is basically a procedural.

Oh dear… I'd like to claim I'm too old for that but if I had one of those clotheslines then I would be all over this.

Continued my watch of The Office, finishing Season 6 which was better than I remembered (I skipped the clip show episode that made me give up the first time). I’m now into episodes I’ve never seen but I must say I quite enjoyed Kathy Bates and like the new guy Gabe with Erin being my definite MVP of the season – so

It's not the same kind of critical analysis but Noel Murray did a very enjoyable article about each of the Friday the 13th films not that long… wait, 6 YEARS AGO??? God I'm old and lonely…

From memory, Sam Neill's screen test for the role that eventually went to Dalton are on youtube. I'd hate to replace Dalton but in an ideal world we could have had Neill between Dalton and Brosnan perhaps?

except Khan, which is in a league of its own

Bowie & Iman… they're both so cool they only have one name! It's like if Elvis married Lulu!

Yeah just watched the first episode and it was far far too broad for me. I must admit I laughed pretty hard at the redecoration of the accountant guy's office though.

I did but she lived in another city, you wouldn't know anyone that knew her but she was super hot and we used to kiss and everything.

Yeah I prefered Bowie's album (not that Blake's was bad) but was pretty much on an 'anyone but the Arctic Monkeys' trip so this works for me.

I have read/heard so many amazing stories about Lou Reed falling asleep/snoring in concerts/films over the last few days, it makes me happy that he and I have more in common than I realised.

Oh, poor Laurie…

Romeo Had Juliet is just such an astoundingly good song.

I live with a guy who not only thinks this show is a completely on-the-level celebration of Kenny's lifestyle but also thinks of Kenny as a role model because he is all about "believing in yourself, having self-confidence and doing whatever you want." He is 30 years old and a sociopath.

I actually shouted at the TV "No Julie!! NO!!! Didn't you learn *anything* from The Swede???"

You're very right, I'm just frustrated and, admittedly, E4 seemed a but better but to be honest Amber and Ryan is the only major plot I can force myself to care about.

I hadn't heard of it but it sounds like I'm not missing much!!!

I have no problem with James Corden, Gavin & Stacey was as light as a feather but thoroughly enjoyable for what it was and I really liked his appearances on Doctor Who.
