I wonder if there were some passive-aggressive comments about that when they were in the kebab shop in the post-credits scene:

So I'm as funny as an SNL writer circa 2012? This is not the life I chose…

I really wish that when Hawkeye ran out of arrows in the climactic battle in Avengers, he'd just been all "OK guys, sorry, I'm out. Let me know how it goes…" and just wandered home.

I like Russel Norman but I think Metiria is the better speaker, every debate I've seen her in and every time I've seen her on Back Benches she's been electric; I'm not sure why Norman has become the 'frontman' over her. But, yeah, hopefully we'll see Labour/Greens pretty regularly topping 50% in polls from here on

Oh dear, yes that was bad… however Question Time is a no-win proposition for Labour at the moment; Key doesn't answer questions, he just makes lame pre-prepared jokes about Labour's internal dissent and he's aided and abetted by a biased speaker whose job relies on making sure Key and his ministers don't have to

Sorry Milton, how does the amount of men she had been with have any relevance to whether or not the woman was raped?

"I hate so much about the things that you choose to be," is my most used Office quote. My goodness that's funny.

I let you down and made the internet angry…

The entire media coverage of the campaign has been fascinating. The character assassination of Cunliffe has been brutal even before he was leader, they're going to be all over him now. Looking forward to reading gloating Herald columns tomorrow night about how John Key dominated him during Question Time.

@avclub-057667becf2d6f53a5cb71f24fdd11b4:disqus It all makes me too anxious. I think my only option left now is just to hide in my room forever… but pesky work keeps getting in the way.

I really like Mara Wilson, at least how she reads from her Twitter feed.

@avclub-057667becf2d6f53a5cb71f24fdd11b4:disqus I'm ahead of the curve then, I got that out of the way at 25!

You're definitely right that rugby is lacking in decent sports writing compared to cricket… Cricinfo is a website I visit several times a week whereas Espnscrum I have been to once, laughed, and never went back.

OK, I've edited it now so it doesn't look like I'm needlessly putting the boot into the poor person I felt up on Saturday night, I'm sure they're feeling bad enough about it as it stands.

I think the vibe is different in S3 but I thought it gelled pretty quickly, I liked the dynamic between Murray and Tucker quite a bit. Obviously, S4 was next level with Mannion and so on. I'd still probably rank them as 4, The Specials, 1/2, 3 but there's no season that wasn't excellent.

I like it that the Japanese authorities seemed to have no issue whatsoever with this burly, super-powered forgeigner killing dozens of Japanese nationals and attempting to kill a government minister.

Oh yeah, very keen to watch the whole lot now - I think I'm going to be watching both from the start (by myself) and later on Season 2 (with my housemates) so it'll be like Lost with heaps of flash forwards/flash backs!

Ha, no they were really cool, they live with an old friend of mine and I've met them a couple of times before. I just hate doing that sort of thing when I'm very drunk, especially when I've acted like a horny 17 year-old rather than a theoretically grown-up 29 year-old!

I know I live here so I should cut them some slack but man, I will forever support anyone playing The Storm. Souths in particular because they were so rubbish from the time I got into league (when the Warriors launched, so 95?) suntil the last few years.

* Listened to Hesitation Marks by Nine Inch Nails and felt disappointed; much like the other albums since Year Zero it just hasn’t grabbed my attention. When the best track on the album is a remix (the Genesis P. Orridge remix of While I’m Still Here) then there’s problems.
