I never got into the latter but I'm extremely fond of Rather Ripped, it came out just after I moved to a foreign country straight out of university and so became part of my soundtrack to discovering a new world, along with Computerwelt, On the Beach and the Blade Runner soundtrack.

The Bling Ring soundtrack is when I realised I had the musical taste of a spoiled Hollywood brat, from M.I.A. and Kanye right down to the Can that all the kids are apparently banging. I didn't have a problem with the acting - Watson was clearly the best of the kids but all of them put in fairly decent, naturalistic

*Watched the Australian election coverage and got super depressed/drunk. We had a pretty sweet set up with the TV outside by the BBQ and made it into a drinking game but it really was a somber vibe. Ended up out until the wee small hours on a series of taxi trips to various friends places. Fell asleep in final taxi

I really hope he doesn't look down Nucky's step-daughter's shirt after plying her with some molly.

I've been using 4 by Aphex Twin as my alarm for nearly 10 years and it hasn't been ruined for me - mostly because it so aptly captures the mood of stumbling round my bedroom in the dark at 06.30 trying to find my clothes.

Hate Songs About Fucking

Damn, I came here to say that the definitive version of this song was by little-known Texas band Crucifictorious but you got there first… two days ago!

Yeah, I had the same reaction to Achtung Baby and think Zooropa is alright (particularly Numb and The Wanderer) but is already showing diminished returns.

Which bridge would that be? I always liked to think I could take either SH1 or SH2 out of town and still be safe!

My brain read 'a minor dying' as being the opposite of 'a serious dying'. I am stupid/stressed.

I am in exactly the same boat except I got caught by my mum after the first one but, being nice, repressed, middle-class Presbytarians, we never talked about it again!

Oh god that last paragraph almost sums up my life from 18 - 21 and makes me so glad I'm older now… not that I've got life any more worked out in the slightest, I just don't have to go through things like that anymore!

Mermaid was an incredible song, though I didn't enjoy Walked Out as much… might have to give it another spin.

OR are also definitely top 5 for me and I have a similar take on IAVF as you do - though We Need a Myth is definitely a skipper for me and Hanging From a Hit is up there with Piratess (even if it is a rerecording of an old song) and Lay of the Last Survivor as the best songs on the album for me.

@avclub-d558185058995263bcbd9fd68a9d732d:disqus 'Hot on the Heels of Love' from '20 Jazz Funk Greats' is one of the sexiest songs recorded by white people, I reckon.

Yeah, hasn't Jason fucked pretty much the same amount of supernatural beings?

Sorry everyone, my cruel remark was directed at the head-in-a-jar Kraftwerk of today, rather than the expertly-serviced automatons of yesteryear. I certainly didn't mean to cast any aspersions on Schneider, Bartos or Flur.

@e_buzz_miller:disqus In New Zealand and the part of Australia I live it's even worse - nothing between July (Queen's Birthday (nb. not actually the Queen's birthday) and October (NZ Labour Day)/November (VIC Cup Day) there is absolutely nothing.

Lol @ 'members of Kraftwerk' - you mean Rolf Hutter and the three interchangable other guys?

Very jealous - I have seen them a couple of times and they are excellent live.
