I grew up in Christchurch and, as a teenager, we though we were pretty cool and out there by sneaking into Victoria Park at night and drinking/having shennanigans on the walking track where Honora Parker was murdered.

*Had a conversation about music with one of my favourite authors via Twitter – it was pretty exciting

I am about halfway through Hannibal and had the same reaction as you - fucking hell it's gorgeous and it's almost unfathomable that a show that pretty and that gruesome is on network television these days.

Equestria Gurls, I don't know why
How can I deny what's inside?
Even though I'll creep you out
I'll be making 'Rule 34' art
Brony boys got it bad

Yeah, I always felt some sort of aversion to audiobooks but I have no idea why. I initially got into them as a way to combine reading books with playing video games - I remember the very odd disconnect of finishing Shadow of the Colossus whilst listening to Barrack Obama read 'Dreams from My Father'.

Does playing Romance of the Three Kingdoms 3 a lot on PC count as having read it? Because if it does, I've read it plenty.

"He was born in fury and lived in lightning," is one of my favourite lines of all time.

Thank you for these posts, @avclub-87caf7c42aedbada42572e2374eed08d:disqus , these reviews and your 'Nerdy Fun with the Simpsons' comments (along with the reposted reviews from the Simpson's message board) are the Maggie photos over the 'Don't Forget, You're Here Forever' sign that is Monday mornings at work.

Ah gotcha, I'm just a slacker in a menial job!!

You make a good point - would it have killed Faramir to have done at least one roll call to make sure his detectives were all there?

Audiobooks are fantastic if you struggle to find time to read. I listen to them while commuting and on the odd occasions I force myself to go to the gym.

I want to cry just thinking about Top of the Lake. Fantastic Queenstown scenery porn too, Lake Wakitipu and the surrounding mountains and bush look incredible. Elisabeth Moss 90% nails the accent too, which is impressive given how ridiculous we Kiwis sound.

Tasha talks about her 'dream' of having a broken leg above, as someone who was laid up with a broken leg last year, catching up on pop culture is the only part of it that was good - I watched all of Boardwalk, the last 3 seasons of Curb Your Enthusiasm, seasons 1 - 4 of True Blood, dozens of films and read Murakami's 1

Hey, some of us come here just to read the meme!

I don't even really like Friends (I come for the Futurama quote) and even I remember and have smiled at them on the giant dog.

You should possibly warn the other 5 friends about Ross's monstrous appetite while you're there.

I'm wondering how many of us were foiled by this outage of Disqus, because I too came to say this.

The Indian (I thought he was Pakistani?) one is the dreamiest.

Lobsters isn't a fascist, he never shuts up about how he hates fascists like Obama!

Is Carrie pregnant on Homeland yet? If not, she no doubt will be by the end of this season.
