This is huge. He’s got the money to keep going and if you look at the states he won, those are swing states. Hillary did win the southern states, which she was projected to win there, but the reality is those are going to be Red States in the general election. Bernie won or came close in the states that lean more

It sounds like you’ve never heard much leftist political analysis at all. Not everyone believes in the sanctity of U.S. elections.

I think that’s the politics of fear, and I think it goes nowhere. How, from that perspective, will things ever get better? How long do we pretend the crumbs we’re handed are big wins? Am I supposed to be grateful the Democrats for not trading ALL my rights away? For not actively attacking me, just standing by while it

It’s not just about us. The right would do real damage to people. We have an obligation to stop that. Voting for the left is pretty much all we can do. It’s not about us.

No it isn’t, and you should be ashamed for saying that. You don’t get to tell people how to vote, or even whether to vote.

Maybe he won't be, but I'll still have my principles and you'll still be a choad.

This has nothing to do with the topic at hand, but I’ve seen two people in this thread say “Bless your heart” to you. Maybe it’s the straightforward New Englander in me, but whenever I see people say that, it makes my blood boil. It’s so flippant, and rude, and passive aggressive awful. Is it really that difficult to

I think there are quite a few people on Hilary’s payroll online trying to quash support for Bernie. And of course, there are people afraid of change, and always, always there are tons of people who would rather aim low and get a tiny morsel than aim high and get a full meal. And that is sad. Or as they’d so huffily

I’m still confused why people are so excited to see Bernie drop out, considering Hillz is a piss-poor GE candidate.

Yeah, as I said on a Gawker thread, it’s concerning that Hillary has mostly been winning states that the Dems will never, ever win in a GE. There have been a couple articles (one in the NYT, another in Rolling Stone) that discuss how Midwestern union member would rather vote Trump than Clinton. I find that worrying

Most reports are that we’re nearing the end of the 3DS life cycle, and that whatever the NX is will replace it. So why release Gen 7 on 3DS? Why not be one of the “killer apps” on the new console/system and help make it successful?

At about 1:56 into the Affleck-Colbert clip above, Colbert actually jokes first about any fighting, mentioning they should “fight at the end of the show” and “bare-knuckle boxing.” Casey Affleck responds with a surprised but joke-y come back, “You wanna fight me?” It’s not an invitation, it’s a reaction to Colbert’s

I’m annoyed because he SHOULD have won for Wolf of Wallstreet. His performance in that film was brilliant and showed incredible range as an actor. His performance in Revenant is great for what it is - but the part didn’t require him to show much beyond physical suffering. I hate when we reward actors for hurting

Yes! The Revenant was not that good. Beautiful aesthetically, really beautiful, but the story was not original or, imo, particularly interesting. Leo has been much better in other things. In the Revenant you can see the acting process (him and Tom) and it took me out of the film throughout. Plus his character’s bad

Oh, I loved Brooklyn too. So many great films, and the Oscar will go to men grunting and rolling around in the snow.

I can’t feel bad about hoping he loses. Dude’s got a pretty nice life.

I really didn’t like The Revenant. I mean, the performances were all just okay, but there was soooo much testosterone, and sooo many men in need of a shower. Leo wasn’t acting—he was shouting, wimpering and looking stoically at snow.

Revenant felt to me like he was trying way too hard. It wasn't that good a movie. Also it made Tom Hardy look ugly, which is just wrong.

Um... anyone who’s done outreach like that would expect to see a bunch of it end up in the trash. You’re handing literature to random people. Of course not all of them are going to take it home and frame it.

If Hillary Clinton rates a 6 for “Money” and Rubio rates a 5, there’s something very wrong with these ratings.
