That's nice and all, but it doesn't disprove that you seem to want characterization and development spoon fed to you like a child so that you are capable of getting it.

"Leonard has displayed on multiple occasions through many many seasons that a big reason to why he favors Penny is because of her appearance. That doesn't fit with your interpretation, so you ignore it."

"Leonard treats Penny better than her cheating exboyfriends, but only marginally so - not sure that's the golden standard here."

"Good news, people. We're on strike! HA!!!"

"they have proven over and over again to have a hard time even being friends with each other."

"The problem with Leonard and Penny is that no relationship has been developed. They've simply been pushed together as a plot device. They have no more chemistry than in the first awkward encounter in the pilot."

"That's a level of cruelty that not even Chuck Lorre would stoop to, especially with Amy."

I'm guessing you only know of change IF they're beating you over the head with it, since your too stupid to see it otherwise.

Agreed, Sheldon being at his most insufferable is only tolerable WHEN he gets knocked off his high horse. That never happens here.

"Like everyone else, I don't see the chemistry behind Leonard and Penny."

Them being self conscious of their "mismatched status" does not mean they always wonder why they are together.

You really haven't been watching episodes with a nuanced interpretation then. Episodes like when Leonards Mom debuts REALLY goes into why they are psychologically attracted to each other. They both relate to feeling rejected emotionally by their own parents (Leonard by his mother, and Penny by her father.

Too bad she's wasted on the Emily character, her romance with Raj lacks substance.

"The reference to Sheldon as "the toughest kid on the Disney Channel" was funny, because for all intents and purposes this is basically a Disney Channel show."

"But I suspect Penny seeming like she is okay with Leonard being around her is about as well as they are capable of writing that relationship."

Then obviously you and 72 other people aren't watching this show with a nuanced interpretation.

So saying I love you should magically solve all their problems?

"The characters have been warped beyond recognition."

"A sitcom is not a morality play or an After-School Special."

"You seem to not understand what *plot* and *narrative* are. "
