I guess a lot of it comes down to a sense of control. I might get my ass kicked 25 times trying to get past a section in Dark Souls, but I know that’s my fault for not getting it right. And that gives you a sense of accomplishment when you finally beat it.

All those lighting effects detract from the aesthetics of the original game. I can barely tell what they are fighting.

I just can’t justify $60 for a game that beats you in the face with microtransactions and doesn’t have dedicated servers... what a shame.

San Andreas is so heavily revered on the internet that I feel like putting it first would’ve been the least controversial option. Putting it fourth, behind its followups, is ballsy.

I hate the steam interface more and more all of the time.I feel like their algorithms are so far off and they’re just trying to force feed me an endless stream of shit. It keeps suggesting farm simulator. I have specifically told their system at least 30 times I do not care about Farm Sims.

I’d kill for a new Armored Core in the vein of 4 or For Answer. Loved the speed in those games more than the slower stuff in the rest of the franchise.

Thank god. I grew up on the Atari and the NES, but the MechWarrior titles ate up enough of my teenage years that I cannot -wait- for 2018 (and I was already stoked for the western release of Yakuza 6).

The money has to come from somewhere. If a giant publisher is forced to pay voice actors more - quite a lot more, in some cases - they’ll pay developers, artists, testers, etc. less. Yeah it’s a shitty thing for them to do, but they’ll do it and there’s nothing stopping the non-unionized workers from taking the hit.

I hope it has good no multiplayer.

You know I find it kind of funny you made an entire article complaining about Keijo’s fan service yet are recommending Izetta which has much more problematic fan service in that every last bit of it is completely unnecessary and shoehorned in. >_>

A few years ago I saw tons of those “I’m just going to throw a bunch of random stuff together” cosplayers at anime cons and they’d almost always be wearing a mask like this. I thought it was a little weird and misguided at the time but apparently I was wrong!
On the flip side though, I’d be ok if this became a trend…
