I maintain that Into Darkness would be significantly better if Cumberbatch was exactly who he appeared to be in the beginning of the movie instead of turning out to be Khan. As soon as that reveal happens it all starts to fall apart.

Fair!

I was really happy for the 6th and 7th episodes because like you said, it effectively broke a streak of Charlie directly precipitating the murders of her new friends. Those actors were going to kill the wife regardless of whether Charlie was there, and her snooping around didn’t led to more deaths; likewise the

I’m only finished the 1st 5 or 6 (the one with Judith Light) and I love this show.

Was anyone else kind of hoping for an exchange like this?

The film feels more like a contemporary reboot of the film Andy watched in the 90s. Complete with unnecessarily convoluted revamp of the villain’s origins and way too serious treatment of a kid’s entertainment property. Your Lost In Space remake comparison is apt.

Also, didn’t they already announce that season 5 would be the end of Stranger Things?

It feels like Quantumania was reverse engineered to introduce Kang as the next big bad of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Star Wars seems to benefit from a long hiatus between movies. TPM and TFA each made the most money of their respective trilogies. The anticipation is built into the experience. When they tried to make it like an MCU thing with Rogue One and Solo, the numbers started to go down.

I’m probably gonna upset the really hardcore comics nerds around here, but I think one way to stave off some of the superhero fatigue is to do more movies like Captain America: The Winter Soldier in between the GotG and Quantumania acid fever dream movies.

Oh, come on! Billy Crudup as a desperate salesman? What the hell more do you want? How can this not be good?

That’s completely not true. You had to do mental gymnastics to connect the plate number with the war. And then it’s not possible in the UK to get a custom plate on an already registered car. That plate was the original to the car.

(we all know the reason)“

I’m not dismissing anything. I’m saying that if I told you “I’m queer,” what more would you know about me, or my life, than you did before? What would you know I meant by it, when there are so many things that fall under that term?

If you’re queer, you know, it’s something a lot more deeply felt than just a label. I knew I was queer since I was little, and so do most queer people.

Queerbaiting” AKA “I’ve decided you’re gay based solely on how you act and nothing else.”

Or she could just come out and say “I’m bi,” which seems very popular these days and requires seemingly no follow up questions.

I don’t think “America” is wrestling with how to avoid making the protagonists of cop shows into heroes. Audiences have no problem watching that, so those shows still have high ratings (relative to the rest of the TV landscape).

Minority-created media should be allowed to be mediocre or worse and we move along the same way as with something created by a straight white guy, instead of having to write some article like this defending it when there are plenty of South Asian-featuring media on TV right now that critics and audiences agree are

Stunning when there is a show where Dan Harmon is not the asshole. Is that why Harmon intentionally works with Chevy Chase  & this guy, so he doesn’t look so bad by comparison?
