Ask him to write something in C. That’s the real test these days.

Yes. That’s the biggest difference between the ev guys and the hot rodders of old. In the 50's and 60's, Model A’s were bought for scrap metal prices. For many it was much cheaper than buying a higher performance new car. But the barrier for entry right now is stuff due to costs. I could easily buy a brand new Fiesta

Personally, I’m surprised no one has made a “DIY conversion kit” for the Nissan Leaf; Like, a programmable aftermarket “ECU”, so you could get an old Leaf for $6k and transplant all the important bits into your conversion car. Sure, range would be limited, but you could always get more/better/newer batteries off

Knd of sad they only sold 300 of these when Fisher-Price sold literally millions of the full EV version over the years.

The older I get, the more often I find the answer is just capitalism.

Jokes on them.   The US didn’t lose a single F-35 during the Vietnam war.

Of course. Same management.

Another great way to increase usable rear load space, the Hennessy 6x6 conversion:

Thanks, that’s also how people describe me.

Do people who tip for counter service tip for movie theater concessions?

There’s always going to be a certain amount of work and who does what determines if I feel I should give a tip:

Maybe the young’uns frankly don’t realize that they should still tip on a counter-service order.

No. Their employer is stiffing the staff. Customers should tip, but they are not responsible for complying with labor laws.

Sierra Nevada Celebration is the holiday beer I am always happy to find on the shelves. It also fills that niche like the Sam Adams Winter where you can bring it to a party without scaring anybody off. The Bell’s Christmas sounds delicious and I will look for it. The Plaid Habit sounds dangerous and I will look out

I just complained about all the $1 cars listed on my local CL... 🤮

it’s inspired me to get my homebrew supplies other places.

VW will also, by 2020, build pigs that fly.

I’m betting the lowest-priced version has an 80-120 mile range.

Hopefully the reward shrubbery will look nice. And not too expensive.

It’s why I don’t buy from NB anymore.
