No they’re trying to play the game at 4k on their xbox ones, and failing hard at it because the game decided to release like that and there's no hardware available.

If you get the good ending you do go to war.

Being in the industry I barely paid attention to “the devs” bull. “The devs”, by the way, is usually a handful of “producers”, glorified marketing people, or “designer” talking heads that don’t actually spend any time creating the project and have no idea what they’re doing or what’s possible.

I dunno Denmark and Sweden have some pretty amazing food. If you make it to Denmark someday their open face sandwiches are amazing as are their breakfast pastries. There’s also an amazing BBQ place in Copenhagen called War Pigs, that will knock your fucking block off, and everyone is as sweet as southern tea. Easily

You honestly think it took almost two years to implement graphics settings and do compatibility testing? How about the delayed Steam release? Is that because it’ll take exactly 12 months to add Steamworks to the port and prepare a store page on Steam?

Again, you’re going off on a different argument. AAA Games today are more expensive to create than they were in the 90's. Just because micro parts of the process have become easier doesn’t mean the whole game is cheaper.

Indie developers also aren’t selling their games for 70 bucks if they want someone to buy them. Are

They’re trying to treat the situations equally, but that would require the social status of the associated groups to already be equal, which they are not, and have never been in this country.

Have you been there? Scandies are so white they make me look like I have color, and I’m half German half Armenian. In the US I pass for a pale ass white boy any day, but there, the Danes think I’m from Central America.

Easier != cheaper. Sure you CAN create assets easily, but the amount you need and the optimization in modern games is off the charts. Most developers still write their own engines as well, which you seem to conveniently seem to be forgetting when we magically port them around. I certainly haven’t and statisics don’t

Yes I’m fully aware of what a port is. Porting AAA titles even UE4 games is not the same as porting a Unity game. Also the FF7 remake was built in tandem on the PC. There was no porting going on. The delayed release was for compatibility not so that they could “port” it. They also had to continue to keep up and

You do know that game was created on the PC right, like with computers? It’s not a port, the whole team had to work to make sure it was PC compatible and QA test it. There is a world of difference in console compatibility and PC compatibility, 10 guys did not port it, this isn’t the 90's.

How you seem to think modern

Older consoles had less costly development kits and licensing costs. Their SDKs were also much more simple because their capabilities were far less. The Switch today for example, has its own Nvidia Tegra GFX processor that requires a special shader pipeline to compile shaders for it, we’re so far out from simple

So yeah, videogame pricing doesn’t really have anything to do with actual costs.’

Uhh no it’s not, not at all. Releasing on a console is oodles more work. It has nothing to do with cartridges.

I mean if people think it’s worth it then they should pay the money for it and play the game, or not pay for it and not play.

You do what we say, or you’re gonna get laid off!!! I could pay your salary with one big NFT sale!” - Pouard’s ignorance behind closed doors.

You’re forgetting the part where they came up with and created the “br mod” while they were helping to support PUBG who licensed their engine, where they ripped off every single element from it, and stood it up using Fortnite in record time (it took them only a few months). Then they stopped helping or supporting PUBG

Having a billion dollar company pay you 20 an hour for the privilege to work and live there sucks more

Yeah let’s be clear here the software industry is not the gaming industry. Games is a kin to building Hollywood sets, while enterprise software is more a kin to creating an architectural building. There are different software, maintenance, stakeholders, coding skills, and habits that go into each one.

There are levels and those levels have paybands already at Activision/Blizzard and they are some of the lowest in the industry. An associate artist would be lucky to clear 50k, while a senior could make between 85k-120k salary this is in Orange County btw.
