How wide was the smug smirk on your cheeto-crusted lips as you hit publish on this?

The fundamental principle of Overwatch--that you need to co-operate with a group of strangers in order to have fun--makes playing support roles inherently less entertaining, particularly because you often have to take care of players whose experience in most other healer-less FPS games means they are not used to the

I’ve been an avid fan of Destiny 2 since shortly after Beyond Light came out. I regularly participate in end-game PvE events and content, and have literally never worried about red border weapons and drops. It really isn’t such an essential part of the gameplay/grind as this article makes it out to be.

i had no plans to watch this, but upon finding out it has made a bunch of manbabies really cranky, i am absolutely going to watch it.

Rest easy, Mike. Thank you for bringing Kotaku into my life.

Every single unique element of the game’s soundtrack gives me goosebumps. What iconic music.

I just want to say thanks for putting these lists together. I love watching speedruns but don’t have the time to watch live or even go through all the archived videos, so having a curated list is fantastic. Thank you!

I participated in the Distant Worlds 2 expedition in Elite: Dangerous, and reached the furthest landable planet in the galaxy about a month ago. I’ve taken a bit of a break, and will now fly back to inhabited space... by going clockwise around the galaxy rather than taking a straight shot back. It should take about ~6

All I want from this is voice acting from Jim Cummings and a release on PS4 or Mac.

The internet was a mistake.

I adore this game, despite having only complete 50 or so levels in the 8 hours I’ve been playing. You’re absolutely right in saying that it makes you feel both like a genius and an absolute dullard at the same time.

I love this game but my god someone help me with level 7 i am weeping

A year or so ago I was playing a competitive match of Overwatch on PS4, and the only other person besides me in voice chat was a very young sounding teenager. He timidly asks “what should I pick?” after everyone has already locked in their choices, and I reply with “just go with whoever you enjoy most, dude.”

How do all these people on console aim so well? I’m on a PS4 and I feel like a freakin’ potato trying to shoot at people, while the folks in these clips are so accurate. It must just be practice and muscle memory, I guess.

3 words: Sonic drowning music.

I’m going to try to finish the main quest in Dad of War (finally) and crack into some of the post-game content. And, of course, continue flying across the galaxy in Elite: Dangerous with the Distant Worlds 2 fleet.

For the love god, please clear your notifications.

Y’all needed some clicks and traffic, huh?

I admit to feeling a certain sense of envy as I read this; particularly in terms of finding an online community to belong in. This isn’t something I’ve wanted to do for a while — in college I was too busy for gaming, and have fallen into it over the past few years as life has settled down (a rather pleasant

My self-imposed rule for competitive matches in all videogames I play (so basically Overwatch and Rocket League) is to quit playing competitive mode after two successive losses; and try again the next day. This typically prevents big backslides.
