I think you bring up a valuable point here, and it helps me express something I may have failed to do. There's not a direct problem with "well it's good enough" as long as it truly matches with what you think is good enough. You're right, nobody has the same values, but everybody knows when they are cutting corners

The OA uses making the bed as an example, but don't get hung up on that. The point is that if you constantly cut corners, you develop a habit of doing so. Then when you get to working on something you care about, you might cut corners there too and lose out on making it great.
