Little girls, absolutely they should be tried as such, but innocent? Really?
I’m an atheist but I will accept invitations to hang with friends at religious events because it’s nice to have people invite you into that part of their life and also learn more about communities you aren’t familiar with. There’s a lot to experience out there if you’re not closed off to it.
Religious communities can provide a lot of support for people. I know that it’s very chic to hate on religion for any number of reasons, but having community can be very important to life satisfaction. I sincerely doubt Lindsey has many (any?) quality friends and if she’s able to find people to support her,…
Another friendly reminder that political correctness is simply treating people with respect. So yea, he’ll probably be acquitted.
fuck him and all, but he’s saying there doesn’t seem to be middle ground.
That was my takeaway as well.
She IS a criminal. She’s a convicted murderer.
I mean... her being a criminal is a crucial point to this story, no?
I’m liberal as hell and am mad at this bullshit. Do the wrong things in life and get what you want, at the expense of our taxes, that’s the lesson here. I need my state to rewrite its prison policy so that unless it’s life threatening, prisoners don’t get any surgery. There are so many law abiding people looking for…
Nah, I can’t get behind this one. You got taxpayers (including victim’s family) paying for a surgery that isn’t absolutely necessary. There are many transgender folks, who aren’t murderers, that are much more deserving. Maybe we should just tell the law abiding trans community that if they want to have the surgery,…
Sorry, I can’t be happy about this.
Ugh teenagers, please stop making stuff up. You will get found out, and it will cast doubt on all the legitimate incidents of hate crimes post-election.
Under the Uniform Code of Military Justice, she could have been sentenced to death. The base offense level of transmitting national defense information is 37 years, 42 years for top secret materials. 35 years isn’t harsh considering these working standards.
“The thinking is six years is plenty of time considering her actions.”
I don’t really think 35 years for intentionally revealing an enormous amount of classified data is ‘outlandishly harsh.’
In light of WikiLeaks’s involvement in this election cycle, I highly doubt her sentence will be commuted any time soon. Even though the information she released has nothing to do with the election (obviously, having be in prison for the last six years), Manning’s leaked documents really put WikiLeaks on the map.
In September, 32 girls in Chicago went on a religious retreat together. By November, their text message chain was riddled with racial slurs that got five of them suspended or expelled from their high school
Honest question: did anyone else not have any body hang ups about their barbies? I was a major tomboy growing up, so my poor barbies spent most of their surviving earthquakes (bed being viciously shaken), tornadoes (hurled out of tree), floods (....boy, my mom was pissed about that one), generally being all around…
