I live in Southern California which is essentially made of kindling and people still light off illegal fireworks for weeks and weeks. Intolerable noise, neighbors drunk on Natty Ice, sad pets, and massive fires all in the name of patriotism def make 4th of July the worst holiday.

Well this certainly fucking hits home. My biological clock woke up last week, so between that and the family-separation crisis, I ended up taking a sick day because I felt like I was on the verge of a panic attack. I only wish egg harvesting and storage weren’t so horrifyingly expensive.
